Highlights from 2026 KOREA WELCOME WEEK

☑ Kickoff of the First Half of 2026 KOREA WELCOME WEEK

On April 24, 2026, the first half of 2026 KOREA WELCOME WEEK officially kicked off during Korea’s peak inbound travel season, coinciding with Japan’s Golden Week and China’s Labor Day holiday.

Running from April 24 to May 9, the event warmly welcomed foreign travelers arriving in Korea for the very first time.

At key travel gateways including Incheon International Airport, Jeju International Airport, Busan Port, and Gangjeong Port, welcome booths provided foreign travelers with useful travel information, convenience services, and a variety of interactive events, making their trip to Korea even more memorable.

☑ Special Events

The giant roulette event was the biggest crowd favorite among international visitors. Visitors spun the wheel for a chance to win special souvenirs, and the welcome kits — filled with K-food, beauty products, welcome cards, and more — were especially popular throughout the event.

A fun K-food-themed photo zone was also set up so visitors could capture their very first memories of Korea. From a space designed to resemble a Korean supermarket to a fun photo spot featuring a vending machine-inspired entrance, the photo zone was filled with smiles and laughter from visitors all day long.

The traditional tea tasting event was another popular stop for visitors. Surrounded by the soft aroma of Korean traditional tea, visitors enjoyed a relaxing moment while experiencing the gentle aroma and charm of Korean traditional tea.

☑ More Warm Welcomes Ahead

For two exciting weeks, we were delighted to welcome so many foreign travelers to Korea.

But 2026 KOREA WELCOME WEEK is far from over!

From June 1 to June 14, welcome and farewell events will continue at Gimhae International Airport during the Busan stop of the BTS World Tour “ARIRANG.” More special moments are still to come!
