Korea Grand Sale 2026 Set Sail into a Sea of K-Culture and Shopping Tourism Korea Grand Sale 2026 begins earlier than ever this year, running from December 17, 2025, to February 22, 2026. It is Korea’s flagship shopping, culture, and tourism festival, designed exclusively for international visitors. The festival brought together a record-high 1,750 companies across aviation, accommodation, retail, food & beverage, transportation, beauty, and convenience services, delivering a plethora of visitor benefits. Let us take a closer look at the opening ceremony that marked the beginning of this 68-day nationwide celebration across Korea. ☑ Opening Ceremony On December 17, 2025, the opening ceremony of Korea Grand Sale 2026 was held in Myeong-dong, welcoming more than 100 attendees. Participants included The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Second Vice Minister Kim Dae-hyun; Visit Korea Committee Chairman Lee Boo-jin; representatives from participating companies; and members of the press.   The event began with opening and welcome remarks by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Second Vice Minister Kim Dae-hyun and Visit Korea Committee Chairman Lee Boo-jin, followed by the screening of the official Korea Grand Sale promotional video, a commemorative ceremony, and a celebratory performance inspired by K-Pop Demon Hunters choreography, which drew enthusiastic responses from the audience.   ☑ Onsite Check Following the opening ceremony of Korea Grand Sale 2026, participants took part in an onsite tour of key Korea Grand Sale locations. The tour included participating companies around Myeong-dong, major tourist attractions in Seoul, the traveling “Play Truck” that tours regional cities such as Daejeon and Jeonju, as well as the “Welcome Center”, the main hub of the Korea Grand Sale. In particular, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism Second Vice Minister Kim Dae-hyun and Visit Korea Committee Chairman Lee Boo-jin visited the Welcome Center located near the first-floor entrance of Myeong-dong Noon Square, where they personally presented welcome gifts to international visitors.     This concludes our overview of the opening ceremony of Korea Grand Sale 2026. The Korea Grand Sale will continue through February 22, welcoming international visitors with a wide range of exclusive benefits and diverse experiential programs.
