Hospitality Campaign for Foreign Tourists During Golden Week and Labor Day The Visit Korea Committee hosted various hospitality campaigns for foreign tourists in commemoration of Japanese Golden Week and Chinese Labor Day. From May 1 to 3, the distribution of souvenirs and a welcome event took place in terminal gates C and D as well as the Airport Railroad Travel Center of Incheon International Airport. Also, a moving tourist service center stationed at the fountain in front of Shinsegae Department Store Main Store from April 30 to May 3 and at the square of DooTa in Dongdaemun from May 4 to 6. Various convenience services were provided and gift events were held at the station. Furthermore, a temporary tourist information center was installed in the Top 7 Special Tourist Zones of Seoul incorporation with Seoul from May 1 to 11. 23rd Seoul Music Awards Held in Celebration of Korea Grand Sale 2014 “The 23rd Seoul Music Awards in celebration of Korea Grand Sale” was held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on January 23. Featuring brilliant performances by the biggest K-POP stars of 2013, this year’s Seoul Music Awards drew considerable attention from countless viewers from overseas invited through Korea Grand Sale online∙and offline events as well as from Korea. This year’s grand prize went to EXO, the new idol group. And main prizes went to 12 other winners including BEAST, who served as honorary ambassador for the “2013 K-POP Cover Dance Festival.” In addition, SHINee was awarded the Hallyu Special Award for their contribution to the spread of the Hallyu culture.
