The Hongdae and Seongsu Centers opened concurrently with the opening of the KOREA BEAUTY FESTIVAL on June 1, 2024. The Hongdae Center was operated under the theme of hair and makeup, and the Seongsu Center was operated as a special fashion-themed pop-up store.



On the opening day, the Visit Korea Year 2023–2024 Volunteer Program (K-TravelMate) was streamed live on Instagram to announce the opening of the KOREA BEAUTY FESTIVAL hub centers and introduce the experience programs and facilities in each center.

K-TravelMate offered experiences of K-fashion tips, a photo zone and photo shoot, and photo key ring and look-book postcard making activities at the Seongsu Center, and makeup analysis and touch-up service, personal color self-testing, photo zone, and digital tattoos at the Hongdae Center, and introduced the programs and services through a livestream on Instagram.

Culture, Sports and Tourism Minister Yu In-chon visited the Hongdae Center to congratulate the opening of the KOREA BEAUTY FESTIVAL and its hub centers, and welcome foreign tourists to Korea.

Minister Yu joined in the experience of beauty programs at the K-Beauty Exhibition Hall and Personal Color Experience Hall along with foreign influencers and watched the “K-pop Idol Makeup Show”.
