2019 KOREA Sale FESTA - Tourist Service Center
Our TSC (Tourist Service Center) joined Korea Sale Festa from November 1st to 22nd of 2019. Wow! We got to meet a lot of tourists in the Namsan Mountain, Imjingak Pavilion, and Hongdae areas. Our TSC provided on-site interpretation for English, Chinese, and Japanese tourists “Ask Us Anything!” and diverse participatory events “Try out Everything!” for more fun. We had Lucky Pin Ball event with added specialty. The foreign tourists are scrambling for the pin ball to win freebies! Wow! *Ovation* This is the winner who won a hotel voucher as freebie. Of course this cannot be missed! Korea Tour Card –- a must-carry for foreign tourists -- were given out for free! They look so happy with the Korea Tour Card in hand! Click! Our TSC will go anywhere to ensure fun and convenient traveling for every foreign tourist.

2020 Korea Grand Sale - Business Presentation
The Visit Korea Committee held the “2020 Korea Grand Sale” business briefing for companies taking part in the event. This business briefing was held at the Ferrum Tower in Jongno. Let’s see what happened there! Before the briefing, we offered refreshments and provided informational materials to all visitors during their registration. There were a lot of visitors indeed, more than expected. The committee was initially worried about the vacant seats, but the hall was eventually filled over time. The briefing started with the welcome remarks by Secretary General Gyeong-ah Han of the committee. She thanked all attendees for coming while asking for the cooperation of all companies for the success of the Korea Grand Sale. It was followed by an overall description of the Korea Grand Sale, such as the concept and differentiation of the 2020 Korea Grand Sale, including future plans. For those interested in the event, it was certainly helpful and informational! The briefing was closed with a Q&A session. In particular, the strong point of the business briefing of the Korea Grand Sale is that The companies and relevant authorities can engage with each other directly! A lot of attendees did not leave the venue after the Q&A session immediately but greeted each other and exchanged business cards. We sincerely thank everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to attend the business briefing of the 2020 Korea Grand Sale. 2019 Taipei International Travel Fair
The 2019 ITF (Taipei International Travel Fair) was held at the Nangang Exhibition Hall in Taipei for 4 days from November 8th to 11th. Taiwan has been actively engaging with Korea as one of the most important partners in the tourism industry! ITF is attended by more than 60 countries, which naturally includes the Visit Korea Committee! Major travel agencies of both countries have B2B consultations. See the preparations for fruitful business meetings? Many visitors asked about tourism in Korea including the Korea Grand Sale and Korea Tour Card. After the consultation, we took the photo with the journalist from Xin Media (Living & Travel Platform), who had great interest in the Korean tourism packages. She promised to spread the word about the Korean tourism packages to the Taiwanese people. Highlight of this show! About 90 organizations from Korea including local governments, associations, and companies were at the 2019 ITF, which was attended by more than 300,000 visitors. We tried to make the booth as attractive as possible to introduce the Korea Grand Sale to them. The 4 days were truly amazing ones thanks to seemingly endless meetings. We were even worried that the queue of people wanting to take part in our events may disturb the meetings at nearby booths. Clearly, the projects of the Visit Korea Committee drew the interest of so many people! The Visit Korea Committee will keep endeavoring to attract foreign tourists through constant promotion.

2019 Beijing Winter & Ski Korea Festa
Beijing, China hosted the 4-day Winter & Ski Korea Festa from October 25th to 28th. The Chinese market is one of the most important markets for the Korean inbound tourism industry and a main target of the Korea Grand Sale project by the Visit Korea Committee. It was the chance for the Visit Korea Committee to promote its own projects like the Korea Grand Sale and Korea Tour Card to more than 100 representatives of the Chinese tourism industry who are in charge of designing the packages. Everyone was so attentive, visiting the committee’s booth after the presentation in person; thus suggesting the great interest in the projects of the committee. The attendees also got to share information such as the current status of the Chinese tourism industry and Korean tourism packages at the pre-arranged B2B consultations with the Chinese local tourism agencies. Can you see the staff of the Visit Korea Committee working on the promotion of the projects in the picture? The 2-day B2B event was joined by K-Pop star “Gary” of Leessang. Gary is known to be hugely popular in China, but it was amazing to see him welcomed by so many people at the site! It is the picture of the grand opening ceremony featuring Gary. Right next to the stage is the booth of the Visit Korea Committee where the Korea Grand Sale and Korea Tour Card were promoted to potential Chinese visitors to Korea, with the Twice-a-Day Roulette and Weibo Follow undeniably the hottest events at the booth. The Visit Korea Committee is working hard to attract as many Chinese tourists to Korea as possible! Please keep monitoring us!

2019 Korea-Vietnam Tourism & Culture Festival
The Visit Korea Committee operated a booth at the “2019 Korea-Vietnam Tourism & Culture Festival” held for 2 days from September 28th to 29th of 2019. The venue was Nguyen Hue Walking Street in Ho Chi Minh City -- let’s find out what the committee did at the Korea Tourism Show as an awesome part of the festival. Ta-da~ Promotional materials for diverse projects of the committee, such as Korea Grand Sale, Korea Tour Card, and Smart Help Desk. The show included many programs such as Instagram event and Yunnori (traditional Korean board game). The lines were incredibly long even though it was so hot and humid. It only shows just how interested all the people were in Korea! The opening ceremony was attended by numerous personalities including Secretary General Gyeong-ah Han of the Visit Korea Committee and Ho Chi Minh Consul General Jae-hun Lim. GFRIEND and SNUPER, two of the hottest K-pop idol groups, added even more heat to Nguyen Hue Walking Street! See you all again in Vietnam!
