2019 Autumn Hospitality Week - Tourist Service Center (TSC)
Autumn days with warm sunlight are best when traveling! Our “Tourist Service Center (TSC)” was operated in the Namsan Mountain, Dongdaemun Gate, and Namdaemun (Sungnyemun) Gate areas for 10 days from September 27th to October 6th in cooperation with the Seoul government. Useful services like on-site interpretation for tourists speaking English, Chinese, and Japanese were provided. Besides the useful services, Yunnori, one of the most popular traditional Korean board game, were also played with intensity! The Korea Tour Card Namhaean Coast, a must-have item for tourists, was introduced as well! It was highly popular among foreigners as the single card provides both public transportation access and tourism benefits. TSC will go wherever places the foreign tourists are! 2019 Local government consultation meeting for the Korea Tour Card
September is the month of fruition. Heads of local governments gathered in the middle of September to discuss the Korea Tour Card system. This conference covered the performance of the “Korea Tour Card,” which has been used by more than 470,000 foreign tourists since its introduction in 2017, with the attendees discussing how to promote collaboration to facilitate regional tourism. Check out the photographs from the conference held at Ferrum Tower in Jongno, Seoul. Welcome remarks by Secretary General Gyeong-ah Han of the Visit Korea Committee. Introduction of “Korea Tour Card,” the exclusive transit card system for foreign tourists. It is basically the T-Money transit card but also offers benefits such as discounts and freebie at attractions, cultural hands-on events, shopping, and show/performances so that the owners can have maximum fun while traveling Korea with the card. What's more, they can use the card in future visits to Korea for accessing public transportation nationwide! We also had a “Korea Grand Sale” session, targeting foreigners visiting Korea in January and February of the following year. Korea Grand Sale covers all processes for foreigners visiting Korea, from booking of an airline ticket, accommodations, and shopping to on-site experiences like cultural hands-on events, including some benefits of the Korea Tour Card. The conference was successfully closed with photo-taking with the representatives of local governments. The Korea Tour Card will eventually become a must-have for foreign tourists by expanding partners to offer benefits to them. Of course, the Visit Korea Committee will be there, too!

2019 Korea Local Shopping&Tourism Flea Market
Korea Tour Card – the convenience of both public transportation and benefits for tourists in one card! A new version of the Korea Tour Card was released in March 2019 with the aim of facilitating tourism in the Southern Coast (Namhaean) area - “Korea Tour Card Namhaean Coast”! The Visit Korea Committee took part in the “Regional Shopping Hands-on Show” held at the Seoul Center of the Korea Tourism Organization on July 25, 2019 in an effort to let as many people as possible know about this Korea Tour Card for the Namhaean Coast area. We held the voting event for foreign tourists visiting the Namhaean Coast area. The foreign tourists had the chance to vote for their favorite attraction in the Namhaean area. Visitors were also presented with the Korea Tour Card Namhaean Coast as a souvenir. So many tourists took interest in the card that we got excited in promoting the benefits. Everyone says traveling is all about photos! At our booth, a photo vending machine was installed that allowed visitors to print photographs from their Instagram accounts. Korea Tour Card Namhaean Coast is on machine here~ It was just for a day but a highly meaningful one at that as the Visit Korea Committee was able to contribute to promoting Namhaean tourism. Hopefully more foreign tourists can utilize the Korea Tour Card Namhaean Coast for more benefits and experiences in every corner of Korea.

2019 Hong Kong International Travel Expo
Hong Kong International Travel Expo The Visit Korea Committee did not miss this year’s iteration of ITE (international travel expo) Hong Kong, the largest tourism exhibition in Hong Kong, from June 13th to 16th. At this grand show joined by more than 600 organizations and +100,000 visitors and representatives from more than 52 countries, the Visit Korea Committee introduced its efforts to promote Korean tourism such as the 2020 Korea Grand Sale and Korea Tour Card. Check out the power of K-Wave and Korean tourism industry, in the faraway land of Hong Kong!   K-Wave shall not be complete without K-Dance, don't you agree? Bustling booth of the Visit Korea Committee! The hardworking staff of the Visit Korea Committee provided practical information on travel to Korea like the 2020 Korea Grand Sale and Korea Tour Card. Game time for freebie! Yunnori, traditional Korean board game, as well as dices were played. Not just freebies but a ton of fun! (Throbbing heart) Who will be the winner? The 4 days were gone in a flash, but they were enough to prove once again that the world is highly interested in the tourism industry of Korea. See you in Korea!

Visit Korea Committee Attends Seoul International Tourism Industry Fair 2019
Seoul Tourism International Tourism Industry Fair 2019   The Seoul International Tourism Industry Fair (SITIF) 2019 was held in COEC, Seoul for four days from June 6 to 9. This year, SITIF has been newly born in collaboration with KOTFA, the leading tourism expo, and SITIM, the largest inbound travel mart. A total of 1,400 companies including the Visit Korea Committee participated in a large-scare event. Let’s have a look what happened! The event began with an opening ceremony. The guests can meet the ‘Tourist Service Center(TSC)’ in Travel Fair. ‘Tourist Service Center’ offers a variety of tourist information, foreign language interpretation, free internet and mobile phone charging services as well as a experience program such as Nail art, and VR. At Travel mart, there were B2B consulting session to discuss the detailed business discussion and collaboration plan with the Visit Korea Committee.   There was a seminar on next day. The visit Korea Committee introduced its key programs such as 2020 Korea Grand Sale and Korea Tour Card. We would like to express our gratitude to the tourists and visitors, the Visit Korea Committee will look forward a various and better promotion to attract more foreign tourists. Thank you!
